English Research Partnership
'Creating the readers and writers of the future'
How our partnership was formed
The ERP was formed in 2018 following the successful delivery of two Strategic School Improvement Fund (SSIF) programmes which ran across the three counties. The vision held by Teaching School Leaders, Local Authority Officers and other key stake holders was to ensure that the learning and resources developed through these projects was sustained and shared. As our partnership has developed we have continued to discover talent, research and excellent practice within schools and partnerships in the area and feel it is our duty to find a mechanism to share this with other schools.

Governance and Leadership
The Strategic Board is made up of representation from Teaching Schools across the three regions and the three local authorities. The group meets every month to share news and updates from the working groups and plan for future activity. We invite partners to join the meeting where required and have so far engaged with The National Literacy Trust amongst others who are in support of our plans. Leadership of the ERP is shared between Teaching School Leaders who all play an active role in developing the work of the ERP.
